Congratulations to the winners of the Saxon Shades of Summer Contest. The photo in each of the three categories with the most Facebook Likes wins one of three luxe staycations. Danielle Ebanks-Lee won in the Saxon Kids Category with 524 Likes. Leigh Hipkins won in the Saxon Abroad Category with 515 Likes and the winner of the Saxon Around Cayman Category was Sarah Booker with 423 Likes. The Best Overall Photo as selected by the Saxon judging panel is Sheena Strickland who takes home the Grand Prize of $1,500 Travel Credit with Cayman Travel Services. The Saxon Shades of Summer Contest Rules GENERAL
  1. The Shades of Summer Contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Monday June 22nd at 12am and end on Friday, July 31st 2015 at 8:30am (the “Contest Period”).
  2. In these terms and conditions, “Contest Organiser” means Saxon MGA Ltd of 14 Saturn Close, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.
  3. By entering the Contest, the entrant shall be deemed to have read, understood, accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions and all decisions of the Contest Organiser. The entrant understands that any breach of these Rules will, at the Contest Organiser’s sole discretion, entitle the Contest Organiser to disqualify the entrant. For the avoidance of doubt, all Contest Organiser decisions shall be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the result of the Contest.
  4. The Contest Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant at their discretion, including but not limited to any entrant or entry: (i) which is in violation of the Contest terms and conditions; (ii) which adversely affects the fairness or operation of the Contest; or (iii) who, in the Contest Organiser’s judgment, engages in any abusive conduct with respect to the Contest or its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, advertising and promotional agencies or sponsors and other agents (the “Affiliates”).
  5. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Cayman Islands. In the event that any term or condition is deemed invalid, the enforceability of the remaining provisions of these terms and conditions shall not be affected. The Contest is void where prohibited by law.
  1. Contest entries may be submitted from 12am on June 22nd until 12am on Monday July 13th (the “Submission Period”). No entries will be accepted or considered before or after the Submission Period.
  2. To participate in the Contest, entrants must visit and enter their contact information (name, telephone number and email address) and a photo of the entrant in only one of three photo categories: Saxon Abroad, Saxon Kids or Saxon Around Cayman (each a “Photo Category”).
  3. All eligible entry photos submitted during the Submission Period will be displayed on the Contest Gallery at following the close of the Submission Period. It is recommended that, once an entrant’s photo is on display, the entrant should share the photo link on Facebook to encourage their Facebook friends to “like” the photo entry.
  4. The photo with the most Facebook “likes” in each photo category will win a prize.
  1. The Contest is open to persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.
  2. Employees of the Contest Organiser, other Saxon companies, DMS Broadcasting Ltd and their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, the term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents and legal guardians, children and legal wards, grandparents, and grandchildren, including “in-laws.”
  3. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Contest Organiser will reject and delete any entry that it discovers contains misleading, false or fraudulent information.
  4. The Contest Organiser has the right to disqualify any entry if the photo is inappropriate in nature, if the entrant does not meet the eligibility requirements or if the Contest Organiser reasonably suspects that any information provided by the entrant is inaccurate. The Contest Organiser may request proof of age and legal residency before a prize is claimed.
  1. On or around Friday July 31st 2015, three (3) winning entries will be selected (the “Most Liked Entries”) will be selected. In order to determine the Most Liked Entries the Contest Organiser will calculate which entries have received the highest number of Facebook “Likes” for each Photo Category.
  2. Additionally, one entry will be selected by the Contest Organiser, in its sole discretion, as the “Best Photo”. The Contest Organiser shall have sole discretion in its selection of Best Photo, but shall consider qualities including (but not necessarily limited to): originality, impact, composition and artistic merit.
  3. The entrants who submitted the Most Liked Entries and the Best Photo (the “Winners”) will be contacted via phone on or around Friday, July 31st 2015 and may be required to execute and return a statement of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release.
  4. If a Winner cannot be contacted, fails to furnish proof of identification or eligibility, sign and return the required statement of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release their prize will be forfeited and will instead be given, as appropriate, to the second most liked entry in the relevant category or the entry designated second best photo by the Contest Organiser.
  1. The prize for the Most Liked Entries is a two night staycation, to be redeemed by a date which will be notified by the provider. The prize for the Best Photo is CI$1,500 in travel credit, to be redeemed before July 31st 2016 (each a “Prize” and together the “Prizes”).
  2. Award certificates will be issued to the Winners by the Contest Organiser following the Contest Period. The Winners must present the certificate to redeem their Prize at the specified business. Note that restrictions on usage and blackout dates may apply.
  3. Non-cash Prizes are not redeemable for cash and winners may not request a Prize substitution under any circumstances. The Contest Organiser does not guarantee the availability of non-cash Prizes and reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute any Prize with one of equal or greater value.
  4. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be claimed or used by any person other than the Winner.
  5. All Prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the entrant and are awarded by the Contest Organiser and Affiliates without any warranty of any kind express or implied. For the avoidance of doubt, the Contest Organiser and the Affiliates shall have no responsibility in the event that the entrant is unable to use the prize in the manner anticipated. The Contest Organiser undertakes no liability or responsibility, and make no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the performance of the prize(s) awarded, for any failure to perform or negligent performance of any Affiliate or service provider, or for any other risk, incident or damage, direct or indirect, relating to or arising out of the Contest, including (but not limited to) cancellations, postponements, delays or other scheduling changes; missed events or connections or inability of winner to attend; and accident, injury, damage or expense arising from or occurring during the use of the prize, or travel to/from or attendance at any event relating to the Contest, by the entrant and/or, where applicable, any guest(s).
  6. It is the entrant’s sole responsibility and at the entrant’s sole cost to ensure that he or she has the appropriate approvals, licenses, documentation or other authority to use or own any prize. No compensation whatsoever shall be provided should the winner fail to obtain such approval or documentation, regardless of circumstances.
  7. The Contest Organiser is not responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the Prize or use of the Prize (including for the avoidance of doubt, banking charges and any financial commitment incurred in connection with the Prize but not included within the Prize) and the Winner acknowledges that it is his/her responsibility to satisfy any and all such claims.
  1. By entering the Contest, the entrant releases and holds harmless the Contest Organiser and all Affiliates from any and all liability for any damage, loss or delay resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any Prize, participation in the Contest, or while preparing for, or participating in the Contest or Prize-related activity, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  2. Entry into any Contest constitutes full permission by the entrant for the Contest Organiser and any Affiliates to broadcast and/or to photograph or publish the entrant's entry, name, voice, recorded comments, biographical information, face and likeness without compensation or further permission, for the purpose of announcing the winners of a Contest or for any related promotional purposes, whether online, in print or in any other media without further consent, or additional financial or other compensation, and, if requested, shall sign a release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize. For the avoidance of doubt the Contest Organiser shall have the benefit of all intellectual property rights in respect of the entries submitted.
  3. When an entrant provides their personal information the Contest Organiser and its Affiliates may use that information to comply with legal obligations to any relevant competent authorities; keep the entrant updated regarding the terms of the Contest, the Contest Organiser or Affiliate’s latest offers, notify the entrant of current promotions, specials and new additions to the Contest Organiser’s services or website. If at any time an entrant no longer wishes to receive marketing information they may unsubscribe by following the unsubscribe instructions in any promotional email sent by the Contest Organiser. The Contest Organiser shall not retain any more of the entrant’s personal information than it believes is necessary for any of these purposes and does not retain personal information for any longer than is reasonably necessary to do so. By entering any Contest, the entrant agrees to the terms of the Contest Organiser’s privacy policy and terms of use.
  4. Prior to awarding any Prize or Prize certificate, the Contest Organiser or Station in its sole discretion may require Contest winners to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Contest Organiser, Station or any Affiliate harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Contest.
  5. The Contest Organiser reserves the right to at any time, change, amend, delete or add to the terms and conditions and other rules and regulations including the mechanism of the Contest at their absolute discretion and such changes shall be effective upon announcement.
  6. The Contest Organiser may terminate or suspend the Contest at any time at their absolute discretion in which case, the Contest Organiser may elect not to award any prize. Such termination or suspension will not give rise to any claim by any entrant. If the Contest is resumed the entrant shall abide by the Contest Organiser’s decision regarding resumption of the Contest and disposition of the Prizes.
  7. The Contest Organiser and Affiliates shall not be responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Contest, or in the announcement of the Winners or Prizes.
